Movie Plot

The film begins with Shruthi (Hansika Motwani) hitting Charan with a glass bottle to die, but the police find the body of a woman, Anu, instead of Charan.

The backstory of Shruti and Charan

Earlier, Shruthi discovered that Charan was cheating on Pooja and her simultaneously. She informed Pooja about it, and Pooja felt depressed and wanted to go home to see her parents.

When Charan learns that Shruti knows his true colors, he confronts Shruthi and blackmails her to impress a high-profile politician. In fact, Charan wanted to use Pooja and Shruti as baits for the politicians to reach a high level in his business.

Shruti disagrees to become bait for Charan and hammers Charan with a glass bottle.

A twist in the story

During the initial investigation, the police do not find anything that connects Shruthi and Anu, but they still suspect Shruti. Shruti gets released, but a police team starts keeping an eye on her to know more about her.

However, the news of Anu creates tension for the MLA Gurumurthy and his alliance, who run an illegal racket. The MLA sends his goons to trace the relationship between Shruthi. Moreover, the MLA does not want to leave any evidence and asks his henchmen to kill Shruthi.

The climax

The film My Name is Shruthi deals with many suspense elements like, what happened to Charan, whom Shruti hit hard with the glass bottle?
