Prati Roju Pandage - Telugu Film 2019

Prati Roju Pandage is an Indian Telugu-language ( Drama ) film released in cinemas on 20 December 2019.

 Movie Plot

Raghu Ramayya (Sathyaraj) is a 75-year-old man who lives in an Indian village. Anand Rao (Rao Ramesh), a businessman, is the eldest son of Ragu Ramayya, who lives in the USA with his wife and grown-up son Saai (Sai Dharam Tej). Anand Rao has no time except for business, so he has appointed Mahesh (Mahesh Achanta) as a domestic help for his father.

Raghu Ramayya learns that he has lung cancer. When Anand Rao knows it, he confirms it from Dr. Bharat (Bharat Reddy), who informs him that Raghu Ramayya has only five weeks to live.

Anand Rao informs his younger brother (Srikanth Iyengar), who lives in Australia, and other family members who plan to spend the last two weeks of his father's life due to their tight work schedule.

Saai (Sai Dharam Tej) learns about the critical condition and immediately visits India. He plans to fulfill the wishes of his grandfather before he dies.

Wishlist of Raghu Ramayya

There was a time when Surya Narayan (Vijayakumar) and Raghu Ramayya were best friends. However, due to a misunderstanding, Surya cut their friendship. Angel Aarna (Raashii Khanna) is the granddaughter of Surya. Raghu Ramayya suggests Saai marry her.

Saai meets Aarna and tells her to marry him within ten days. He meets Surya Narayan and clears all the grievances between him and Raghu. Surya and Raghu become friends again and agree to marry Saai and Aarna.

Twist in the story

On the other hand, Anand Rao fixes the marriage of Saai with the daughter of Damodar (Murali Sharma), a business tycoon. Damodar promises to give a big project to Anand Rao.

In the meantime, Saai fixes his marriage with Aarna and informs his father, his uncle (Chacha), and all other family members. The families reach India without having any sentiments for Raghu Ramayya with selfish motives.

Saai helps his grandfather to fulfill his hidden desires and wishes. Raghu Ramayya starts recovering and stays alive even after the completion of five-week's time. Dr. Bharat explains it as a miracle and the willpower of Raghu Ramayya that has given him some more time to spend with his family.

The biggest twist

On the day of the wedding, Raghu Ramayya gets unconscious. In the hospital, a nurse inadvertently informs the family that Ragu Ramayya is dead.

Anand Rao informs Damodar (Murali Sharma) in the USA. He requests Damodar to postpone the marriage of his daughter to Saai for one year without letting him the truth about Saai and Aarna.

After a few minutes, Dr. Bharat informs that Raghu Ramayya is hale and hearty. Anand Rao wants to clarify to Damodar that his father is still alive, but circumstances stop him from telling the truth. On the other hand, Damodar plans to visit India, without informing Anand Rao, to condolence of his father's death.

Damodar visits India and finds Raghu Ramayya alive. He scolds Anand Rao and breaks any relationship with him. Saai goes to drop Damodar at the airport, and in the meantime, Anand Rao, in turn, blames his father for his insult and returns to the USA. All other family members also return to their homes.

Raghu Ramayya receives an attack and gets admitted to the hospital. However, when Saai returns from the airport, Raghu Ramayya goes to the heavenly abode. Saai informs his father and other family members about the death of his grandfather. However, to his surprise, everyone refuses to revisit India. Anand Rao asks Saai to perform the last rituals and plans to see him performing the rites through a video call.

Saai gets Angry and frustrated. He not only performs the last rites of his grandfather but also treats his entire family dead, including his father, mother, uncle, and aunt, and starts doing the last rituals for all of them.
