Plot Summary of Hindi Film Saharasri (2024)

Saharasri is an upcoming Hindi-language Biographical film. In addition to Hindi, the film will also be available in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film shoot begins next year, and the tentative release date of Saharasri is 31 October 2024.

Movie Plot

The film takes inspiration from the real-life events of Subrata Roy, an Indian businessman who founded Sahara India Pariwar in 1978.

Apex Supreme Court of India, in 2012, ruled that Sahara group companies violated securities laws and illegally raised funds. SEBI could not trace the investors.

On 26 February 2014, the Supreme Court of India ordered the detention of Roy for failing to appear before it in connection with a legal dispute with Market Regulator - SEBI.

As Mr. Roy failed to appear in court during the ongoing legal battle, he was held in custody in the Tihar Jail, Delhi, and later released on parole in 2016.
