Movie PlotShantala (Ashlesha Thakur) lives in a small town in Halebidu, Karnataka. She is passionate about dance and wishes to achieve greater heights in dance. Shantala is in love with a village boy, Rajashekar (Nihal Kodhaty). The corrupt Zamindar (Vinod Kumar) collects Sistu (a kind of tax according to the fertility of the land) from the helpless villagers. He not only misuses his powers but also has inappropriate intentions towards young girls. Soon, Shantala becomes his next target. What happens next is the rest of the story of Shantala.
