Daredevil Musthafa is a Kannada-language Comedy Drama film released on 19 May 2023 in cinemas. The film takes inspiration from K.P. Poornachandra Tejaswi’s short story of the same name. Debutante Shashank Soghal is the director of Daredevil Musthafa.
Aditya Ashree, Shishira Baikady, and Prerna Gowda play lead roles in Daredevil Musthafa. The film also features Poornachandra Mysuru, Nagabhushana, Mandya Ramesh, Vijay Shobaraj Pavoor, S Umesh, Aashith, Chaithra Shetty, Karthik Pattar, Mysore Anand, Srivatsa, and Supreeth Bharadwaj.
Ramanuja Iyengari (Aditya Ashree) studies in a college at Abachuru, dominated by Hindu Brahmins. Ramanuja is also a Hindu Brahmin and leads a Hindu students group of four students.
Ramanuja fancies Ramamani (Prerna Gowda). She joins the same college, and Ramanuja falls for her. However, many other students admire Ramamani because she seems to be the prettiest girl in the college.
Since Abachuru is a Hindu-dominated place, no Muslim dares to get admission to the college. However, first time in the history of the college, a Muslim boy Musthafa Hussain (Sishir Baikady), joined the college.
The group and other students do not know much about the Muslim culture. They only know that a fight breaks out every year between Hindus and Muslims during the festival of Ganesh Chathurthi. So the group does not want Musthafa to stay in the college.
Musthafa does not attend the first twenty days in the college, the group, led by Ramanuja, thinks he will not return. Musthafa joins on the 20th day, a rumour starts spreading about him, and trouble ensues.
Musthafa is a brilliant student, a polite speaker, and a kind-hearted young boy. Ramanuja and his friends try their best to put down Musthafa. However, teachers like him and thus support him. Moreover, Musthafa is famous, especially among girls, and Ramamani is one of them.
Ramanuja starts feeling insecure and jealous. He uses all his wits to throw out Musthafa from the college or to malign his image, but all in vain. Since conflicts between Musthafa and Ramanuja seem out of control, teachers have to interfere in the matter.
What happens next is the rest of the story of Daredevil Musthafa.
