Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya is an Indian Hindi-language ( Drama , Friendship ,and Romance ) film released in cinemas in 1966.
Ashok (Dharmendra), a city salesman, dreams of marrying Ashoo (Nutan), a village girl. Meanwhile, Amjad (Reman), a close friend of Ashok, is preparing to marry Shabnam (Nutan in a double role).
Ashok goes to the village to propose to Ashoo. However, in the meantime, Bhagat (Jeevan). Ashok rescues Ashoo, and they flee together, planning to reach in the wedding of Amjad.
Tragedy strikes when their train meets with an accident. Ashoo dies, but Ashok survives, unaware of her death. To help his friend, Amjad convinces Shabnam, who looks like Ashoo, to pretend to be her. Shabnam reluctantly agrees, but Ashok becomes confused when Ashoo seems distant.
Will Ashok learn the truth and the sacrifice of his friend Amjad? And if Shabnam finds love in her new life. The film narrates a tale of love, loss, and true friendship and gives replies to all such questions.
