The film Ek Ruka Hua Faisla narrates the story of twelve jury members who gather for a final closing argument against a culprit teenage boy for stabbing his father to death. If the boy is found guilty by the jury members, he will get a death sentence.
As soon as the discussion begins, it appears that all the jury members have decided the boy guilty except juror No. 8 (K.K. Raina). Since the jury members seemed in haste to reach the verdict without much discussion, the vote of juror No. 8 in favor of the culprit frustrates them. On the other hand, juror No. 8 wants a fair chance for the boy.
When juror No. 8 sticks to his vote, all other jury members reluctantly start a discussion. They try to convince juror No. 8 that the boy is guilty. Will they be able to convince him to change his verdict? The film Ek Ruka Hua Faisla gives a reply to the question.
