Ezra - Hindi Film 2021

Ezra is Hindi -language ( Horror and Thriller ) film released in cinemas on 29 October 2021.

Ezra (Hindi Film) is an upcoming Bollywood Supernatural Horror film. The tentative release date is 30 November 2011. However, the makers have not announced any release date. Ezra (Hindi) will be released on O.T.T. Platform Disney+Hotstar.

Ezra (Hindi) is a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name. Ezra (Malayalam) was released on 10 February 2017.  The film was made on a budget of tentative Rs. 8 Crores and earned approximately Rs. 36 Crores.

Cast & Crew

Jay Krishnan, who had written and directed Ezra (Malayalam), has written and directed its remake.

Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak have jointly produced the film under their banners T-Series and Panorama Studios.

Emraan Hashmi is in the lead role. Darshana Banik, Manav Kaul, Denzil Smith, Nikita Dutta, Vipin Sharma, Sudev Nair, Vivana Singh, Ivan Sylvester Rodrigues have played pivotal roles in Ezra (Hindi).

Movie Plot

A thief steals some antique items, which include a box with Jewish inscriptions. The box seems to have supernatural power. The unseen power kills a worker in the shop where the box is kept for selling.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Syed Mohammed (Manav Kaul), looks into the matter. However, he does not get any lead about the murder.

Ranjan Mathur (Emraan Hashmi) is a nuclear waste management specialist.

He lives in Mumbai with his wife Mia Ranjan (Darshana Banik). Mia purchases the box and brings it to her home. Pronominal activities start in her house as soon as the strange box enters the house.

Ranjan is an orphan. His Uncle (Denzil Smith) has taken care of him since childhood. He informs Ranjan that the box is a Dybbuk, and the name of Abraham Ezra is written over it in the Hebrew language. Dybbuk (in Jewish folklore) is a wandering spirit that enters and possesses the body of a living person until expelled.

Ranjan now starts investigating Abraham Ezra. He comes to know that Dybbuk only possesses people with mental stability or children under three (3) years. Dybbuk becomes the worst enemy of those who try to expel it from the body.

Ranjan learns that his wife (Darshana Banik) is pregnant. He realizes that Dybbuk will possess his child. Ranjan now decides to save his future child.   However, he is completely blank as to how to deal with supernatural power.
