Intaqam (1969) is an Indian Bollywood Thriller Movie released on 23 May, 1969 (India). The movie was produced by Dewan A.D. Nayyar andn directed by R.K. Nayyar who also written story of the movie whereas screenplay was written by Dhruva Chatterjee who also wrote some notable movies like Hariyali Aur Rasta (1962), Gehra Daag (1963), Woh Kuan Thi (1964), Kohra (1964) and Gumnam (1965).
Intaqam Stars Sanjay khan, Sadhana, Ashok Kumar, Rehman, Helen, Jeevan, Asit Sen, Anju Mahendru, Leela Chitnis, Sapru, Iftekhar, Jankidas and Rajendra Nath. Intaqam (1969) became Superhit on Box Office by earning Rs. 3.5 Crores and also became the Fourth Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie for the year 1969 after Aradhana, Do Raaste and Ek Phool Do Mali.
Music for Inteqam Mali was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal who produced some unforgettable melodious songs like Geet Tere Saaz Ka, Ham Tumhare Liye Tum Hamaare Liye, Jo Un Ki Tamnna Hai and Aa Jaane Jaan that became one of the rarest cabaret songs sung by legendry Lata Mangeshkar. All song lyrics were penned by Rajinder Krishnan. Lata Mangeshkar was nominated for Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer for the song Kaise Rahun Chup but won for another song Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage from the movie Jeene Ki Raah.
Intaqam (1969) Movie Plot: Reeta (Sadhna) works for Sohan Lal (Rehman) who sends her to one year jail on charges for stealing jewelry from his shop when she refuses to entertain a businessman. After one year when Reeta comes out of jail she finds her mother died. She vows to take revenge on Sohanlal.
One Heera Lal, who also wants to take revenge from sohan Lal, also joins Reeta and together they target Rajpal (Sanjay Khan) the only son of Sohanlal. Rajpal falls in love with Reeta marries her against the will of his father without knowing that he is merely a pawn for taking the revenge from his father. Rajpal loves Reeta so much that he takes a murder charge on him for the crime he thinks done by Reeta.
