Movie Plot

Rinku Dayal (Dimple Kapadia) is the only daughter of Dayal (Madan Puri), who works for young businessman Ajit Verma (Raj Babbar).

Kul Verma (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) is the elder brother of Amar Verma. He witnesses Rinku and asks Ajit to marry her. Amar learns Dayal is the father of Rinku and gives a marriage proposal, for which Dayal agrees.

However, Rinku loves Amar (Rajiv Kapoor), who is unemployed and lives with his mother (Asha Parekh). Soon, Ajit discovers about the affair of Rinku and Amar. He tries to convince Rinku but receives rejection.

Ajit wants Rinku at any cost and decides to get rid of Amar. He learns that Amar does not no how to swim. One day, while Amar was standing near a waterwall, Ajit pushes him into the water. Rinku witnesses the heinious act of Ajit, vows to avenge the death of Amar, and marry him.
