Sher Dil - Hindi Film 1990

Sher Dil [not to be confused with Sherdil (2022)] is a Hindi (Bollywood) Action film released on 7 September 1990.

Jagdish Sidana is the Director of Sherdil. Jagdish and Rasheed Sajad have jointly produced Sher Dil. Magical Music Director's duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal has composed the Music for Sherdil.

Irshad Ahmad is the Cinematographer, and Z.A. Zulfi is the Film Editor.

Cast

Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Anita Raj, Kimi Katkar, and Kader Khan (in a double role) have played pivotal roles in Sher Dil.

Prema Narayan, Pradeep Kumar, Rohini Hattangadi, Arjun, Gulshan Grover, Kamaljeet, Satyen Kapoor, Mahesh Raaj, Shiva Rindani, and Praveen Kumar have played supporting roles in Sheri Dil.

Movie Plot

Shobhraj and Lobhraj (Kader Khan in a double role) are two criminal-minded brothers. The brothers share such a strong bonding that one's pain is also felt by the other.

Shobhraj and Lobhraj make a successful plan to loot a bank. Shobhraj shoots the Bank guard to death. Shobhraj plays a foul game and makes his brother Lobhraj arrest and save himself.

In police custody, Lobhraj (Kader Khan) is questioned and beaten up by Inspector Ram Kumar Saxena (Pradeep Kumar). The pain felt by  Lobhraj is also felt by Shobhraj, and thus he wants to stop Inspector from beating his brother.

Shobhraj, with the help of his partner in crime and his love Julie (Prema Narayan), kidnaps Maya Devi (Rohini Hattangadi), wife of Inspector Ram Kumar, and her young son Prakash.

Ram Kumar finds the way out for his wife and son in merely three days and raids Shobhraj's secret place. However, in shock, he sees Shobhraj attempting rape his wife.

Shobhraj somehow manages to flee along with Prakash, son of Ram Kumar. Shobhraj and Julie together befool the Inspector that his son has died. On the other hand, Shobhraj gives the child a new name Shera (Dharmendra), and plans to make him a criminal in the city.

After some time, Maya Devi (Rohini Hattangadi) gets pregnant. Ram Kumar doubts that the unborn child might belong to Shobhraj (Kader Khan), who kept Maya captive for three days.

Maya tries to convince her husband, but all in vain. Maya leaves the city and later gives birth to a boy Sanjay (Rishi Kapoor).

Young Shera (Dharmendra) and Young Sanjay (Rishi Kapoor) were brought up in the same city. Shera helps young Sanjay and becomes his friend.

Sanjay introduces his school friend Kiran (Anita Raj) to Shera, and the trio becomes friends. Shera likes Kiran and gifts her a small Marble made Taj Mahal made on her birthday of Kiran, as a token of his love.

In the meantime, in one of the raids in search of illegal work, Inspector Ram Kumar again finds Shobhraj. However, Shobhraj flees from there, leaving Shera to his destiny.

Shera somehow manages to escape from the police and soon becomes a notorious goon.

Times pass, and Shera again meets Shobhraj (Kader Khan), who gives Shera the task of killing Kiran (Anita Raj), the sworn daughter of Ram Kumar (Pradeep Kumar).

Kiran and Jyoti (Kimi Katker) are the daughters of a close friend of Ram Kumar (Pradeep Kumar), who died early, leaving the responsibility of his daughters to Ram Kumar.

Will Shera and Sanjay come to know about their relationship? Whether they would be able to meet their parents? Whether Maya Devi can prove her innocence? What happens to Shobhraj and Lobhraj? Sherdil gives replies to these queries satisfactorily.
