Tarini Khuro [Uncle Tarini] is a fictional character created by Satyajit Ray. The full name of Tarini Khuro is Tarini Charan Bandopadhyay. Thus, Golpo Bolo Tarini Khuro means Uncle Tarini, tell a story.

Now at 60, retired in Kolkata, and a widower, his only regret is that he could never find the time to give his late wife Anuradha (Revathi) the vacation she always desired.
And now, out of a job, Tarini Ranjan has all the time in the world, but his near ones aren’t close to him.
