Troy: The Bharat Putra is an Indian Tamil-language ( Thriller ) film released in cinemas on 29 June 2024.
Major Bharat Kumar Reddy from the Indian Army lives in the border area with his wife, Nandini Srinivasan Reddy. The couple is happy and self-contended but is childless.
One day, the couple finds an abandoned dog in the border area of Poonch, Kashmir. The couple brings the dog home and names him Troy because Major Bharat is a big fan of the Hollywood movie Troy. Bharat and Nandini nurture the dog like their son, and soon, they form an emotional bond.
One day, Troy foils a terror attack at an annual function in a school. Colonel Paramveer realizes his great sniffing power to detect bombs and appoints him as a soldier in the Indian army.
Troy successfully detects many terrorists placed under the training and guidance of Major Bharat. The situation takes a U-turn when Major Bharat does not return from a secret mission and is considered dead.
While devastated Nandini and the entire nation accept the death of Major Bharat, Troy still hunts for him. The problem ensues when Troy goes missing.
