Abrahaminte Santhathikal [meaning: Descendants of Abraham] is an Indian Malayalam-language Thriller film released on 16 June 2018.

Babbar the Police is the Hindi dubbed version of Abrahaminte Santhathikal.

TL George and Joby George are the Producer, and Shaji Padoor is the debutante Director of Abrahaminte Santhathikal. Alby is the Cinematographer, Mahesh Narayan is the Film Editor, Gopi Sundar is the Composer of the Film Score and two songs, and Serin Francis is the other Music director of Abrahaminte Santhathikal.

Cast

Mammootty plays the lead role in Babbar the Police, a Hindi dubbed version of Abrahaminte Santhathikal. Anson Paul, Yog Japee, Renji Panicker, Siddique, and Kalabhavan Shajon play pivotal roles in the film.

Sudev Nair, Suresh Krishna, Maqbool Salmaan, Shyamaprasad, Spadikam George, Sohan Seenulal, and Jayakrishnan play supporting roles in Babbar the Police, Hindi dubbed version of Abrahaminte Santhathikal.

The tentative budget of Abrahaminte Santhathikal is 6 Crore INR. The film did well commercially and earned approximately 67 Crore at the Worldwide Box Office.

The film earned approximately 48.92 Crore INR at the Kerala Box Office, 4.35 Crore in the rest of India, and 14.12 Crore INR overseas.

Movie Plot

A serial killer in the city brutely murders nine (9) people and is still free. Derick Abraham (Mammootty), a senior brave and honest police officer, is investigating the case.

Abraham gathers that the killer is targeting atheists. Abraham finds out about the 10th victim and arrests the killer, Brother Simon (Sudev Nair), while the latter tries to kill his 10th victim.

Simon has a target to kill ten (10) people. He kills himself in police custody to fulfill his target of sacrificing ten (10) people. Since Simon dies in police custody, Abraham gets punished by way of his suspension from his duties.

Derick Abraham has a younger brother Philip Abraham (Anson Paul), who is a trained sharpshooter. Philip is in love with Aleena (Tarushi Jha). However, one day police arrest him on the charge of killing his girlfriend, Aleena.

Narayana Sethupathi (Yog Japee), senior officer to Derick Abraham (Mammootty), beats Philip brutely before Derick reaches the police station. Narayana Sethupathi asks Derick to investigate and report on the murder case of Aleena.

Derick also believes in his brother's innocence. However, every piece of evidence goes against Philip. Moreover, Diana Joseph (Kaniha), the public prosecutor, is against Derick for some personal reasons.

Derick gathers that Philip was with his three friends Arun (Maqbool Salmaan), Salman, and Nisam (Anoop Vijay), on the murder night.

Derick meets those three friends but gets shocking news from them. Derick gathers that Philip is drug-addicted. The three friends also inform that Philip met Aleena on the murder night.

Derick has no option but to accept that his brother is the killer. He files his report, and Philip gets life imprisonment. Philip develops negative feelings about his brother and wishes to kill his brother.

Dinesh (Siddique), the jail warden, learns about Philip's hate towards his brother and lends a helping hand. Dinesh helps Philip escape from jail and provides a gun to kill Derick.

Dinesh (Siddique) and Naryana Sethupathi (Yog Japee) have hatched a plan against Derick because once  Derick arrested the respective sons of Dinesh and Narayana in a kidnapping case. Narayana's son kills himself before being arrested, so these two [Dinesh (Siddique) and Naryana Sethupathi (Yog Japee)] have a grudge against Derick.

Philip tries to kill Derick twice, but he fails to do so. Philip now kidnaps the son of Diana Joseph (Kaniha), the public prosecutor, and seeks 10 Crore INR. Philip also demands that Derick will bring the money to him.

Derick knows Philip wants to kill him, but he agrees to carry the cash to save the child. Derick and the police team have the plan to catch Philip. However, an unexpected twist is waiting for them.
