Bawaal is an Indian Hindi-language (Bollywood) Action Romance film released on 21 July 2023 on the OTT platform Prime Videos.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) issued a "UA" rating to the Hindi-language film Bawaal, vide certificate No. DIL/2/325/2023-MUM 3 July 2023. The runtime of the film is 139 Minutes and 12 Seconds.

Movie Plot

Ajay Dixit (Varun Dhawan), a small-town history teacher, wishes to raise his social position and often uses fake hype. He meets a pretty girl Nisha (Janhavi Kapoor), in the town, falls for her, and soon gets married to increase his social status.

For the same reason, he cannot get along with his fault-finding parents and has a strained relationship with his newlywed wife Nisha, who he fears taking out because she has epilepsy.

When an incident in school leads to Ajay getting suspended for a month, followed by scrutiny of a disciplinary committee, he comes up with a crazy plan to save his image.

He decides to fake a trip to the World War-2 trail where he would be visiting Paris, Normandy, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Auschwitz and teach his students from there as no one has done before.

The plan goes awry, and circumstances force Ajay to embark on an unusual journey where he is neither interested in the places he is visiting nor in the company of his wife.
