Blue Beetle is the name of three fictional superheroes Dan Garrett, Ted Kord, and Jaime Reyes. The 2023 American film Blue Beetle depicts the story of Jaime Reyes.

DC Comics owns the rights to Blue Beetle (characters), which they acquired in 1983. They have used the name for three distinct characters over the years. Each character appeared in several American comic books published by various companies since 1939.

Movie Plot

Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) completes his graduation from college and returns to his hometown Palmera City.

Jaime Reyes gets selected as the symbiotic host for the Scarab, an ancient alien artifact infused with advanced biotechnology.

This extraordinary relic bestows upon them a formidable exoskeleton armor, transforming them into the mighty superhero popularly known as Blue Beetle.
