Boo is a Tamil-Telugu Horror Thriller film released directly on the OTT platform of Jio Cinema on 27 May 2023. In addition to Tamil and Telugu, the movie is available in Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Kavya (Rakul Preet Singh) is waiting for her three friends to celebrate Halloween day, which is celebrated on 31 October every year. In the meantime, she has made a Halloween atmosphere in the room to feel the excitement.
The three friends (all girls) visit, and Kavya takes their mobile phones and tells them to return the same in the morning only. They decide to hold a seance and start reading a horror book for which only four prints are available in the world. The book depicts some horror stories.
Hiccups depict the story of a journalist (Nivetha Pethuraj). She visits a new city with her baggage. However, the broker asks her to stay in a hotel room for the night because the rented house is not readily available.
While on the way to the hotel, the journalist finds a to let board on a big house. She stops and meets the owner, an old-aged woman. The owner asks for Rs. 10,000 rent and advance for seven months.
The owner asks if the journalist takes hiccups. The question is weird, but the journalist needs immediate shelter, and she denies taking hiccups ever. However, while having dinner, the journalist takes a hiccup and witnesses an extreme horror scene when she sees a severed hand moving towards her with a glass of water. The lady owner again hangs the To Let board outside the house.
Soon, events described in the book start happening to them, leading to a terrifying series of encounters. What happens next is the rest of the story of Boo. However, you can not stop reading the book until it ends.
