Movie Plot

Dasvi depicts the story of a clergyman Ganga Ram Chaudhary (Abhishek Bachchan). He is a Chief Minister. However, he has not even completed his schooling.

For some reason, Ganga Ram has to go to Jail and his wife, Bimla Devi Chaudhary (Nimrat Kaur), who does not know anything about politics, takes over his political career. Ganga Ram continues to dominate politics from the prison until Jyoti Deswal (Yami Gautam) takes charge as the new jailer.

Ganga Ram and Jyoti Deswal collide many times because she refuses to accept the way Ganga Ram lives in the Jail. Finally, she challenges Ganga Ram if he can pass the 10th Standard examination (DASVI) in the Jail.

Ganga Ram vows to pass the DASVI (10th) examination, and in the meantime, his wife completely takes over his political empire.
