Dil Ek Mandir (1963) is a Musical Romantic Drama Hindi Movie released on 8 March, 1963. The movie is produced and directed by C. V. Sridhar. The movie was proved to be a Blockbuster by earning Rs. 1.1 Cror and became one of the Top Ten Highest Grossing Bollywood Movies of 1963. Raaj Kumar won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor and Arjun Dev Rashk won Best Filmfare Award for best Dialogue. The film has some mesmerizing songs like Dil Ek Mandir Hai (Title Track), Ruk Ja Raat Thehar Ja Re Chanda and Tum Sab Ko Chhod Kar Aa Jao which are still very popular even among youngsters. Gumrah (1963) Movie Plot: Dharmesh (Rajendra Kumar) and Seeta (Meena Kumari) loves each other but due to some unavoidable circumstances Seeta has to marry with Raam (Raaj Kumar). Seeta tries hard to overcome from her past and lives happily with Raam. But soon his life takes a U turn when Raam is diagnosed Cancer and his past love interest, now a Doctor, has to look after her husband. Dharmesh and Seeta don’t feel comfortable with each other. Seeta even thinks that he would not treat her husband properly being her former love interest. Seeta talks to Dharmesh in this regard and wants him to leave the case of husband and assign the job to some another Doctor. Dharmesh promises her that their relationship would never come in the way of his professionalism. Raam overhears their conversation and asks Seeta to marry Dharmesh after his death. Now it is a challenge for Dr. Dharmesh to cure Raam at any cost because if he dies Dharmesh would be alleged to be biased. He starts preparing for the surgery of Raam and even leaves his day to day meal for long. Finally the day comes for the surgery and Dharmesh does the same with full devotion and successfully completes the operation. But soon after the operation Dhamesh dies of long days hard work, hunger and weakness. |
