Prashant Verma (Ajay Devgn) is an honest and upright journalist. He loves Priya (Raveena Tandon), and the couple dreams of living together forever.
Tau (Amrish Puri) is a dreaded criminal in the city. He acts like a king-maker and boss of all criminals in the city.
On the other hand, Prashant gets frustrated witnessing the criminal activities of Tau with the involvement and support of the police.
When all legitimate efforts of Prashant go in vain, he single-handedly decides to start a war against Tau, s. What happens next is the rest of the story of Divya Shakti.
