Plot Summary of Hindi Film Dostana 2 (2024)

Dostana 2 is a quasi-sequel to the 2008 Bollywood film Dostana produced by Karan Johar. The film had Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.

Cast & Crew

Debutante Collin D'Cunha is the Director of Dostana 2. He is also one of the Writers of Dostana. Navjot Gulati, Sumit Arora, and Rishabh Sharma are the other writers.

Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta are the Producers of Dostana 2.

Cast

Janhvi Kapoor, Laksh Lalwani, Kirron Kher, Raj Babbar, Abhishek Banerjee, and Asha Bhat have played pivotal roles. Rachit Jadoun, Raghav Binani, Aru Krishansh Verma, Khushi Solanki, and Sahil Patel have played supporting roles in Dostana 2.

Movie Plot

Dostana 2 is a Romantic Comedy. Kirron Kher will reprise her role from Dostana (2008). However, the lead actors have been replaced in Dostana 2.

Production

Kartik Aaryan, Janhavi Kapoor, and debutante Laksh Lalwani stepped in as lead characters of Dostana 2 on 27 June  2019. The film shooting was initiated on 9 November 2020. However, the shooting had to be stopped due to the COVID-19 epidemics and the nationwide lockdown.

The film shooting resumed in April 2021. However, on 16 April 2021, Aaryan left the film due to creative differences. Thus, one more postponement of the movie.
