Their formal education is limited, but they desire to be millionaires. And to fulfill their monetary dream, they want to fly to London to earn easy money.
However, their limited formal education, nil assets, and zero bank balance become the enemy of their dream because they are not able to get visas for the very reasons.
When an ex-army officer, Hardayal Singh Dhillon alias Hardy (Shah Rukh Khan), visits Laltu, the trio meets and befriends him. Hardy promises to help them to go to London. However, soon, they plan to visit London by adopting illegal means. In the meantime, Manu falls in love with Hardy.
