Gaddaar - Hindi Film 1995

Gaddaar [meaning: The Traitor] is a Hindi-language Action Drama film released in theaters on 9 June 1995. The Censor Board of Film Certification issued a UA Rating to Gaddaar, vide certificate No. 1545, on 1 June 1995. The film has a runtime of 152 Minutes.

There is another movie Gaddaar released on 15 August 1973. Vinod Khanna, Pran, Yogeeta Bali, Iftekhar, Madan Puri, Anwar Hussain, Manmohan, and Ranjeet payed lead roles in Gaddaar (1973).

Movie Plot

Sunil Gujral alias Sunny (Sunil Shetty) is the son of an industrialist Mr. Gujral (Mohan Joshi), a white-collor criminal. Sunny does not share an amicable relationship with his father. On the other hand, his father desperately loves Sunny and can do anything for his happiness.

Vijay Saxena (Harish Kumar) is the best friend of Sunny. He belongs to a financially weaker family with his father (Anant Mahadevan), mother (Reema Lagoo), and younger sister.

Priya (Sonali Bendre) enters the college, and Sunny falls in love with her. However, the bad-tempered Sunny fails to impress Priya. He asks Vijay to do something to unite Sunny and Priya. Vijay befriends Priya and makes efforts to bring Priya closer to Sunny, but Priya falls for Vijay.

Twist in the story

Professor Nag (Kiran Kumar) is a professor in the college owned by Mr. Gujral. One day he thrashes hot-headed Sunny (Sunil Shetty) in front of other college students. Sunny plans to avenge and seeks the help of Vijay.

Vijay wins the confidence of Professor Nag and soon becomes the college leader. As per the plan, he asks Professor Nag to say"Sorry" to Sunny in front of the entire college. When Professor Nag refuses to feel sorry, Vijay calls a strike in the college.

Priya requests Sunny not to play with the future of college students. Vijay has a soft corner towards Priya, and he calls off the strike just before Professor Nag is going to say sorry in front of the college student.

Sunny feels cheated by Vijay. Moreover, he discovers that Vijay and Priya are in a relationship. Sunny treats Vijay like a traitor (Gaddar) and vows to destroy Vijay.
