Gardish (1993) is a Bollywood Action Movie released on 10 September 1993 (India). The movie was Produced by R. Mohan and directed by Priyadarshan who also wrote the screenplay of the movie. Gardish (1993) was a remake of Mohanlal starrer Malayalam Movie Kireedam (1989). Gardish (1993) stars Jackie Shroff, Dimple Kapadia and Mukesh Rishi in lead roles. The movie won two filmfare awards.
Gardish (1993) Movie Plot: Vidya (Aishwarya) likes Shiva (Jackie Shroff) son of an Honest Police Constable Purushottam (Amrish Puri). Her father (Shammi Kapoor) also agrees to their alliance, meets with Purushottam and an official engagement is taken place. Purushottam arrests son of an MLA for certain crime and consequently he is transferred to Kala Chowki Police Station in Mumbai where Bill Jilani (Mukesh Rishi), a dreaded criminal, is ruling unofficially. Purushottam gets involved with Billa directly and beaten up often by the goons of Billa.
Shiva, who is all set to become an officer, is not able to bear all these and seeks help from helpless police. Since no help is received from anywhere he chose the path of violence and crime so that his father may work with honesty. Prithivraj breaks up the propose relationship of Shiva and Vidya. Purushottam has also to choose either his duty or his criminal son who is arrested and later gets bailed through Shanti (Dimple Kapadiya), a prostitute.
