Ghar Ka Chirag [meaning: heir (son)] is a Hindi (Bollywood) Family Drama film released on 22 December 1989.
Sikander Bharti is the Director of Ghar Ka Chirag. It is his first directorial Hindi feature film. Rajeev Kumar Chowdhary is the Producer, Kamlakar Rao is the Cinematographer, Nand Kumar is the Film Editor, and R. Varman is the Art Director fo Ghar Ka Chirag.

Kumar (Rajesh Khanna) is a wealthy businessman and lives happily with his wife, Asha (Deepika Chikhalia). They wish a son to be their next heir. Asha gets pregnant, but both Asha and the unborn child die due to a miscarriage.
Kumar owns many schools and colleges. After the death of Asha, Kumar devotes his life to the service of children studies in his schools.
In a parallel story, Kiran (Neelam) and Ravi (Chunky Pandey) study in one of the colleges owned by Kumar. Kiran is the daughter of the school principal (Om Shivpuri). Ravi and Kiran love each other and wish to marry soon.
In the meantime, Ravi participates in a car race, meets with an accident, and dies. Kiran is pregnant and wants to kill herself after hearing the sad news. When Kumar (Rajesh Khanna) gathers all these, he proposes to marry Kiran because he wants his legal heir.
Kiran and Kumar are happily married, but soon news breaks out that Ravi is still alive.
