Aa Karaala Ratri (2018) is a Kannada Language Suspense Thriller Movie which is dubbed in Hindi as name Ghatak Raat. The movie is directed by Dayal Padmanabhan who also co-written the screenplay along with Naveen Krishna. The movie has been produced under his own Banner of D Pictures. Aa Karaala Tatri was originally released on 1 May, 2018. Aa Karaala Ratri is based on a Kannada Play by Mohan Habbu. The story narrates incidents happened in a single night and won Karnataka State Film Award for First Best Film. Ghatak Raat Movie Plot: In a remote village a very poor farmer and a habitual drunker Onti Maney Muthanna (Rangayana Raghu) lives with his wife Gowramma (Veena Sundar) and daughter Malli (Anupama Gowda). One day a fortune teller comes there and tells that family that someone is going to change their destiny. On the same day a stranger Channa Keshava (Kaarthik Jayaram) visits them and asks for shelter as he has to go long and he doesn’t want to travel in the night. Reluctantly, Muthanna agrees for his stay. Channa opens his suitcase in which diamonds and cash is quite visible. He also gives money to buy some food items for the night. The money was more than required and Muthanna after giving the requisite items for making food goes to drink with the extra money. Malli gets tempted towards the money and diamond and she suggests her mother to mix poison in the food for the money. Gowramma eventually accepts the plan and brings some poison available in some tree leaves. Unfortunately their pet dog eats the poisoned food and dies. Malli then make a heinous plan to kill Channa in the night. |
