Movie Plot

Kartik (Zuber K. Khan) is happily married to Meera (Anju Jadhav). Kartik is in deep love with his wife. He takes insurance of INR 10 Crore so that the money can be the savior in case of a mishappening.

One day Meera's mother calls her and asks to come to Banaras with Kartik. The mother desires Kartik to perform religious worship (Shraddha) on the occasion of the death anniversary of Meera's father.

According to the belief of the Hindu religion, only a son has the right to perform the Shraddha rites of his father. Since Meera has no brother, Meera's mother wants Karthik to perform this Shraddha.

Karthik and Meera get a little late in reaching, and the auspicious time for Shraddha passes. The priest Shradhanand (Shiva Rindani) asks the couple to come the next day and suggests they can stay in a nearby hotel.

Twist in the story

The next day Karthik performs Shraddha rites on the banks of the Ganga river. The priest asks him to take five dips in the river Ganga. Karthik goes a little further into the river but drowns. Some divers jump into the water to save Kartik but do not find him.

Police start an investigation and find a decomposed body after 3-4 days. It is hardly possible to recognize the body. However, the belongings suggest that Kartik is dead. Consequently, the hospital authority issues a death certificate. Meera, the nominee of Kartik, claims insured money of INR 10 Crore.

After six months, Meera learns that the insurance company has completed all the formalities and is ready to hand over the insurance amount of INR 10 Crore.

Meera becomes happier and calls her boyfriend Rocky (Rockey Yojo) to share the good news. While Rocky is coming to Meera's house in his car, he witnesses Kartik (Zuber K. Khan) on a motorbike.

Rocky informs Meera, but Meera knows that Kartik is dead and does not believe Rocky. However, she plans to leave the city once they get the insured amount.

The biggest twist

Insurance company hands over the cheque amounting to INR 10 Crore to Meera. Rocky and Meeta meet the priest Shradhanand (Shiva Rindani). In fact, these three and their fourth partner Shera are the masterminds of the planned murder of Kartik in such a way that it looks like a natural death.

Now, these three are celebrating the moment of getting the cheque for the insurance amount. Shera, the fourth partner, is missing right now, and the other three are happy because their profit share has increased.

However, a big surprise awaits them that is beyond their imagination. What happens next is the rest of the story of Gotakhor.
