Hamraaz (1967) is a Suspense Thriller Bollywood Movie released on 17 March, 1967 (India). The movie was produced and directed by B.R. Chopra. Hamraaz becomes superhit on Box Office by earning Rs. 4.5 Crores and also became 4th Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie for the year 1967 after Upkar, Ram Aur Shyam and Farz. Hamraaz stars Sunil Dutt, Raaj Kumar, Mumtaz, Vimi, Sarika, Balraj Sahni, Iftekhar, Helen, Jeevan and Madan Puri played pivotal roles in the movie.
Music for Hamraaz (1967) was composed by Ravi and lyrics were penned by Sahir Ludhiyanvi and they together created very beautiful songs like Kisi Patthar Ki Moorat Se, Neele Gagan Ke Tale, Na Muh Chhupa Ke Jiyo and Tum Agar Saath Dene Ka, sung by Mahendra Kapoor who won Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer Award for the song Neele Gagarn Ke Tale . The song ‘Tu Husn Hai Main Ishq Hoon’ sung by Mahendra Kapoor and Asha Bhosle.
Haraaz (1967) Movie Plot: Meena (Vimi) the only daughter of a wealthy person Verma (Manmohan Krishna) meets Kumar (Sunil Dutt) a Singer who does stage performances alongwith his partner Shabnam (Mumtaz) who also likes Kumar secretly. Kumar falls for Meena soon get married and started living happily.
Things changes after the demise of Mr. Verma when Kumar notices sudden changes in the behavior of Meena. He comes to know that she meets someone secretly. To know the truth Kumar pretends to go Pune but lands in a Hotel with fake name. After checking in the Hotel he visits his house in bearded attire. He finds the door open and hears a gun shot. He rushes inside the room and finds Meena dead. Kumar wants to inform Police but as per official record he is in a Hotel and in that case he would be the primary suspect. Hence, Kumar returns to Hotel and returns his house the next day.
Kumar comes to know about a Hotel Room where Meena used to visit regularly without informing him. Kumar reaches there and finds Captain Rajesh (Raaj Kumar) who was first Husband of Meena and assumed to be dead in a Military operation. Now Kumar knows that neither he nor Rajesh is the murderer. But police suspects Kumar as murderer. Who is the real murderer sets the rest of the story.
