The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) issued a (UA) rating to the Telugu -language film iSmart Shankar, vide certificate No. VIL/2/20/2019-HYD on 28 August 2019 . The runtime of the film is 138 Minutes and 18 Seconds.
iSmart Shankar is a Telugu-language Science Fiction Thriller film released on 18 July 2019. It features Ram Potheneni, Satyadev, Nabha Natesh, and Nidhhi Agerwal in pivotal roles. The film received a commercial success at the Box Office.
The Central Board of Film Certification issued a UA certificate, bearing number VIL/ /32/2019 CUT dated 18 December 2019, to the Hindi dubbed version of iSmart Shankar.
Aditya Movies uploaded the Hindi dubbed version on their YouTube Channel on 16 February 2020. The Hindi dubbed version became immensely popular, and the film became one of the Most Viewed Hindi Dubbed Movies on YouTube.
Double iSMART is the sequel to iSmart Shankar, announced in September 2022, and is scheduled to be released on 8 March 2024.
Shankar (Ram Pothanini), a contract killer, kills Kasi Viswnath (Puneet Issar), a high-profile politician. The court punishes Shankar for the heinous crime, but Shankar escapes from jail. He takes shelter with his lover Chandni (Naba Nitesh), the best available safest place for him.
Soon police trace his location, and Shankar has to flee with Chandni. However, an unknown killer shoots Chandni.
Meanwhile, Arun (Satyadev Kancharana), a CBI Officer, learns about the real culprit behind the murder of Kasi Viswnath. When he is about to disclose the name, someone shoots him dead.
Dr. Sara (Nidhi Agerwal), a scientist, is the girlfriend of Arun. Sara decides to transfer Arun’s Memories to Shankar to know the killer. What happens next is the rest of the Story of iSmart Shankar.
