Jaane Jaan is an upcoming Hindi (Bollywood) Investigating Thriller scheduled to be released on the OTT platform Netflix, tentatively on September 30, 2023.
Jaane Jaan depicts the story of a single mother and her daughter who commit a crime. A neighbour helps them cover it up amidst a police investigation.
The film is an adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo’s bestselling 2005 novel “The Devotion of Suspect X.” Kahani fame Sujoy Ghosh is the director of Jaane Jaan. A Japanese film “The Devotion of Suspect X” was released in 2008.
Kareena Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma play pivotal roles in Jaane Jaan.
The film also features Lin Laishram, Naisha Khanna, Shyam Gopal, and Uditi Singh.
A single mother, Maya D'Souza (Kareena Kapoor), lives happily with her daughter Tara (Naisha Khanna). One day her ex-husband, Ajit (Saurabh Sachdeva) returns and extorts money, threatening both mother-daughter duos. The situation quickly escalates into violence, and the ex-husband is killed.
Naren (Jaideep Ahlawat), a neigbbour-cum-professor, who secretly enamors the mother, overhearings commotion and offers to help them. The man disposes of the body but never discloses the place of disposal.
Soon the police find the dead body, and the mother becomes the prime suspect. The investigation officer, Karan Anand (Vijay Varma) learns that the neibour (Naren) is his classmate from whom he has learned problem-solving techniques and abilities.
