In a town haunted by mysterious murders on every Amavasya (New Moon), a serial killer is targeting prominent businessmen. Inspector Pratap Tungare (Johnny Lever) is leading the investigation under the supervision of CID Inspector Mahesh Chaudhari (Mahesh Kothare).
Inspector Tungare harbours a grudge against criminal lawyer Advocate Raja Potbhare (Sadashiv Amrapurkar), who often defends suspects Tungare arrests. Meanwhile, Potbhare’s daughter Vasanti (Nutan Jayant) is in love with a local detective, Laxmikanth Lokhande, also known as Lakshya (Laxmikant Berde).
After another murder, the victim’s brother offers a reward to anyone who can catch the killer. Seizing this opportunity, Lakshya and his assistant Ranga (Bharat Jadhav) hatch a risky plan. They decide to frame Lakshya as the murderer, claim the reward, and then use the money to hire Advocate Potbhare to prove Lakshya’s innocence and set him free.
