The story of the film begins when the Indian Embassy representative in Noman Jail comes to meet Sameer (Vidyut Jammwal) who is imprisoned here.
Since Sameer had sought the help of the Indian Embassy, that is why help is sent here. Sameer is asked to tell his story from the beginning and from here the film goes into flashback.
Sameer is a middle-class software engineer and is married to Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi). In 2008, there is a recession in the world and due to this both Sameer and Nargis have to lose their jobs.
When they do not get any work for three months, both of them decide to go to Noman and an agent (Vipin Sharma) helps them for this work. Nargis's job is first confirmed and it will take a few days for Sameer to be told by the agent.
Nargis leaves Noman and Sameer waits for her phone. After all, Nargis's phone and all she can say on the phone is that it is not the place where she has applied for the job. Nargis weeps over the phone and asks Sameer to take her from Noman.
Sameer interrogates the agent but the agent misleads him and Sameer decides to go to Noman himself. The agent gives him the phone number of Noman's agent, who then reaches Sameer Noman.
Sameer taxis from Noman Airport, whose driver is Usman Ali Murad (Annu Kapoor). Murad tells Sameer that the phone number he has is wrong. Sameer Noman asks for help from the police but there is no help from there.
Sameer investigates the phone number from which Nargis had called Noman. This number belongs to a Shirazi (Nawab Shah). With the help of Murad, he comes to know that Shiraji is doing business of Jismfaroshi.
Sameer becomes a client and reaches Shirazi's base. The photo which is shown there also includes the picture of Nargis which has just been sent to another customer.
After a while Nargis is brought there which is almost in an unconscious state. Sameer tries to take him along but Murad advises him to run away as the number of goons is too much. Both run into the car but the car becomes an accident and both faint. When he regains consciousness, Sameer finds himself in police custody.
Sameer gets no help from anywhere but police officer Faiz Abu Malik (Shiv Pandit) assures him of helping him and helps him apart from the local police. Female Police cop (Aahana Kumar) also becomes the member of the team to find Nargis. However, things get dramtically changed and Sameer has to hide himself from the Police. What circumstances compel him to do so and what is his agenda?
Amar Mohile has composed background score for the movie whereas Mithoon has composed songs for the film.

Khuda Hafiz is inspired from true incidents. The film reminds Baaghi 3 where Tiger Shroff goes in an Islamic country to rescue his elder brother single handedly.
Faruk Kabir who has written and directed the movie has made a very good attempt to convert the movie from Action to Thriller. The film runs with full pace and does not allow to think about the climax of the movie.
Faruk first wrote a tight script then executed it exceptionally well by directing it. He has directed a full length Bollywood Feature Film after around 10 years. He directed Allah Ke Bandey in the year 2010 that stars Naseeruddin Shah, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni, Zakhir Hussain, Rukhsar Rehman and Anjana Sukhani.
Vidyut Jammwal stands outstandingly well and reminds the action done by Tiger Shroff in many movies. He has taken to his acting ability to a next level and Khuda Hafiz (2020) will always be remembered for his acting, action and stunts. Annu Kapoor also left a remarkable impression with his acting talent.
Sheevalika Oberoi gets a less screen space even after being the female lead in the film. The entire movie takes support on teh shoulders of Vidyut Jammwal.
Shiv Pandit, Aahana Kumar and Annu Kapoor have also done their part with honesty.
The film has not been pulled from the beginning. Things are explained quickly so that the audience does not get bored. Since there is not much power in the story of the film, it was very important to have a good screenplay and this work has been done by writer-director Farooq Kabir.
The thing that is most talked about in the film is Sameer spending desperate money in Noman while his wife is seen crying after leaving the job and the job is also ready to go to another country. Sameer's loved ones talk about tearing their ff di but seeing Samir in Noman, it does not seem like he needed money.
However, over all Khuda Hafiz is a good thriller to watch. Spectators know what would happen next yet the movie maintains its thrill till the end. A good movie to watch with family and friends.
The film gets an average rating of 7.3 out of 10 by IMDB users (19K), whereas Bollywood Product rates the film 7.5 out of 10.
