It was second movie of Nasir Hussain as a Producer after Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai (1963) and fourth movie as a director after Tumsa Nahin Dekha (1957), Dil Deke Dekho (1959) and Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai (1963). The movie was proved to be a Blockbuster and earned Rs. 3 Cror.

Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon was a musical hit too. Its songs became very popular and some of them are still very popular like ‘Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon’, ‘Lakhon Hai Nigah Mein’, ‘Aankhon Se Jo Utri Hai Dil Mein’, ‘Humdum Mere Khel Na Jaano’ and classical hit ‘Dekho Bijli Dole Bina Badal Ke’.

Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon (1963) Movie Plot: Jamuna (Veena) has some domestic marital issues with her husband (Wasti). She is will to get separated from him but her husband wants his young Son Mohan with him. He even try to abduct him and hence, Jamuna decides to abscond and starts living in a distant town with her growing son Mohan (Joy Mukherjee). 

Mohan grows as a handsome young man and falls for Mona (Asha Parekh) whereas Mona’s parents want her to marry with Difu (Rajendra Nath) a wealthy person. Mona goes Srinagar with her friends and Mohan follows her. Initially she does not reciprocate to the affection tendered by Mohan but soon she also falls for him without knowing Mohan’s past that is going to ruin their life soon.
