As per Hindu Mythology, there is Setu (Bridge) that connects Srilanka. As per the mythological story, Ravana, the King of Lanka abducted Seeta (Lord Rama's wife). Thus, to reach Lanka, to bring Seeta back, a Bridge was created by Lord Rama and his alliance. The bridge is known as Ram Setu.
