Roohi is a Bollywood Horror Thriller film released on 11 March 2021. The original title of the movie was Rooh Afza but later changed to Roohi Afza. The was changed once more to Roohi Afzana. It was finally changed to "Roohi" just before the release of the film. Dinesh Vijan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba have produced the film and Hardik Mehta has directed it.

Movie Plot

Roohi depicts the story of a Ghost who abducts newly wedded brides on the day of their Honeymoon. Rajkummar Rao is ready for another Horror Comedy after Stree (2018). Varun Sharma and Janhavi Kapoor (in a double role) are playing the lead role along with Rajukummar Rao. Pankaj Tripathi and Ronit Roy are there in supporting roles.

Full Film Story

Bhanwar Singh (Rajkummar Rao) and Kattani (Varun Sharma) are very good friends who live in a small town. They kidnap girls and get them married with or without their consent. Once they kidnap Roohi (Janhavi Kapoor) but could not get her married for certain reasons. They make her captive in an old hut situated amid a Jungle. Here comes a witch Afza (Janhavi Kapoor in a double role). Afza wants to get married and hence stay in the body of a girl until she gets married.

Afza enters into the body of Roohi and in the meantime, Bhanwar develops emotions for Roohi. The story does not end here. Kattani also falls in love with Roohi. Now they have to choose between love and friendship and at the same time, they have to save Roohi from Afza. Will or how they able to save Roohi is the rest of the story.

Movie Plot

Vijay (Mazhar Khan) is a Canvas Painter and lives with his uncle in Delhi. He imagines his would-be life partner and portrays her image on the canvas.

Vijay visits Kandaghat, a village in Himachal Pradesh, to meet his best friend Prakash (Mukesh Khanna). Prakash is an affluent person and shares his home with his girlfriend Shalu (Asha Sachdev).

Vijay sees a village beauty Sajjo (Zarina Wahab) and immediately realizes that she is his dream girl. Sajjo responds to his love with a positive approach. Vijay starts calling Sajjo with a love name Roohi.

In the meantime, Vijay comes to know that two persons in the village admire Sajjo/Roohi. One of them is Sangha (Girija Shankar). And another is none other than Prakash (Mukesh Khanna), who wants Sajjo/Roohi at any cost.
