The old shaman sits in silence and asks the spirits to let him go. He has spent his life serving people who came not for answers but for wishes that were often selfish, petty or cruel.
No one ever asked about the gods, the meaning of life or the reason behind suffering. They only wanted more, including but not limited to fame, wealth, power, and even someone else's husband.
The shaman is tired. Tired of greed, malice and shallow desires. He feels disappointed in the people he once tried to help. But everything has a price. Those who chase empty dreams must pay, and so must the shaman, caught between the world of men and the world of spirits. To leave his path, he must accept the final price, Death.
