Silsila (1981) is a Romantic Hindi Movie released on August 14, 1981; written, produced and directed by Yash Chopra. Movie Plot: Two brothers Shekhar (Shashi Kapoor), a Squadron Leader with Indian Air Force and Amit Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan), a poet, are in love with Shobha (Jaya Bhaduri) and Chandni (Rekha), respectively and they plan to marry at the same time. But Shekhar was killed in an air crash leaving devastated pregnant Shobha. To keep Shoba out from this peculiar situation Amit marries Shobha and ask Chandni to forget him. Shattered Chandni also marries to Dr. Anand (Sanjeev Kumar). Destiny plays its part and Amit meets Dr. Anand and Chandni when Shobha mets with an accident. Two families come closer soon. But Amit and Chandni secretly resurrect their love without thinking the aftermath of their romance. |
