Vivek makes Sivaji agree to pay a huge bribe of 50 Crore (i.e. 25% of the total budget). After giving 50 Crores Sivaji gets all the requisite sanction and the construction work stats.

This makes Adiseshan angry with the sitting MLA and threats him to ruin his political career. Adi uses his power and position, a new politician A. Kuzhandhaivel (Cochin Haneefa) takes over his predecessor and orders for demolition of almost completed building belongs to Sivaji.

Sivaji: The Boss Film Review

Script and Direction

S. Shankar helms both the fields of Script and direction. These two fields are the most important fields for a movie. Shankar earlier written and directed movies like Gentleman (1993), Indian (1996), Jeans (1998) and Nayak (2001).

Shankar justifies the story & script and then directs the same with full devotion. The movie is a Masala movie yet it delivers every component required for a good movie. In short Shankar does his job with full honesty.

Acting

Rajinikanth bears the entire movie on his shoulders. His acting and comedy is originally for south Indian audiences but it is equally good for Bollywood spectators. Rajinikanth has already proved his acting skills in many movies and Sivaji: The Boss would always be there in the list for his extraordinary acting.

Sriya Saran is in the lead role with Rajiikanth yet gets a less screen space. However, she delivers a very good acting talent especially when she swings to choose between his husband and CBI.

Vivek has played extremely well in the movie. He plays a young maternal uncle of Sivaji and remains with him as his close friend. He supports Sivaji in every situation and does not leave his company till the end. His comic timing and unique style of dialogue delivery makes him special in the movie.

Suman as Adiseshan has justifies his role. It seems that no one could do this role better than he did.

Raghuvaran is very effective in Short role.  Manivannan as father of Sivaji, Vadivukkarasi as mother of Sivaji, Pattimandram Raja and Uma Padmanabhan as father and mother of Shreya Saran also delivers their best in short but effectual roles.

Sivaji: The Boss Music and Songs

Ace Music director A.R. Rehman composed the music for the movie who won Filmfare Award for Best Music Director in the 2008 Filmfare Awards South.
