Trainwreck: Balloon Boy is an American-british English -language ( Documentary and Thriller ) documentary released directly on the OTT platform Netflix on 15 July 2025.
On October 15, 2009, a man in Colorado called 911. He said his flying balloon had gone up in the sky with his six-year-old son inside. A news helicopter followed the balloon and started streaming it live on TV.
Very soon, police, soldiers, and rescue teams came to help. People across the country watched and hoped the boy would be safe.
But when the balloon finally came down, the boy was not inside. What looked like a terrible accident turned into something very different. The public felt shocked and angry. The story of the so-called Balloon Boy became one of the strangest events in American news.
