Wanted (2009) is an Action Thriller Bollywood Movie produced by Boney Kapoor and Matt Zemlin. The movie is written by famous South Indian Movie director Puri Jagannadh. Dancing Sensation Prabhu Deva made his bollywood debut as director from this movie after directing five south Indian movies.
Wanted (2009) is a remake of 2006 Telugu Movie ‘Pokili’ starring Mahesh Babu and Ileana D’cruz. The movie was Co-Produced, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh who later written the story and screenplay for ‘Wanted’. ‘Pokiri’ was also remade in Tamil as ‘Pokkiri (2007)’ starring Vijay and Asin. After Wanted (2009) the movie was again remade in Kannada as ‘Porki’. Prakash Raj was there in all version except Kannada.
Wanted (2009) Movie Plot: Two rival mafia gangs, leading by Golden Bhai (Aseem Merchant) and Datta Pawle (Raju Mavani), are active in Mumbai. Golden Bhai is merely a Pawn of an International Don Gani Bhai (Prakash Raj). He hires Radhe (Salman Khan), a local goon, to strengthen his power in Mumbai. Mumbai Police Commissioner Ashraf Taufiq Khan (Govind Namdeo) has vowed to catch Gani Bhai and finally arrests him and kept in his custody unofficially to know about his complete list of illegal business and his team. Gani Bhai’s goons kidnaps Commissioner’s daughter and demands release of Gani Bhai in exchange.
