Waqt (1965) is a Bollywood Drama Movie released on 30 July 1965. The movie was produced by B.R. Chopra and directed by Yash Chopra. The movie was proved to be a Blockbuster by earning Rs. 6 Cror and also became the Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of 1965 followed by Shashi Kapoor and Nanda starrer Jab Jab Phool Khile.
Waqt (1965) can be considered a trend setter movie for Bollywood Film Industry. First of all it leads the way for the concept for multiple stars movies. The movie introduced the formula for lost and found formula which was originally originated in the movie Kismat (1943) starring Ashok Kumar.

Waqt (1965) Movie Plot: Lala Kedarnath (Balraj Sahni) a very rich person and don’t believe in fate. He enjoys a wealthier life alongwith his wife Laxmi (Achla Sachdev) and three Sons Raju, Ravi and Vijay who share their birthday on the same day.
An earthquake ruined their life and they all get separated. Lala kills orphan manager (Jeevan) who used to beat his older son and goes to jail. The three sons are grown in three different atmospheres. The Raju becomes Raja (Raaj Kumar), a petty thief works for Chinoy (Reman) who decides to leave the life of crime after meeting Meena (Sadhana). Youngest Son Vijay, even having graduated degree, becomes driver and also works for Chinoy for not getting a suitable job in Mumbai. He is in love with Renu (Sharmila Tagore) since his college days.
Middle Son Ravi (Sunil Dutt) becomes a Lawyer and falls for Meena who also reciprocates him positively. Raja comes to know about Ravi and Meena and decides to kill Ravi before the day of their engagement but he comes to know that Ravi is his long lasting brother. However, before their mingling Meena’s parents breaks off the engagement by knowing that Ravi’s parentage and religion is not known.
Raja wants to help Ravi but arrested by police with the allegations of a murder. Ravi now decides to defend him. What happened to Raja and how the family get united is rest of the story.
