Movie Plot: Sardar Roop Singh (Mubarak) has a marriageable daughter Nisha (Asha Parekh) and he wants her to marry with his friend’s son Sohan (Pran) whom Nisha dislikes. She meets with Popat (Dev Anand), son of his father’s business associate and falls in love with him after some antipathy. Later she comes to know that he is not the real Popat and his name is Sunder. However, some clarification from real Popat makes her love more to Sunder and she decides to marry her without the consent of his father. But things gets turned when on the day of their marriage Khanna (Raj Mehta) informs that Sunder is already married to Shanti (Wasti) and is prime suspect of her murder.
