Coolie No. 1 (1995) is a Bollywood Masala Movie released on 30 June, 1995. The movie was produced by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by Davit Dhawan. The movie stars Govinda, Karisma Kapoor, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor and Sadashiv Amarapurkar in lead roles. The movie is remembered for Govinda’s one of the best comic performance along with Kader Khan. Coolie No. 1 (1995) became a superhit movie and became the 6th Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie in the year 1995. Govinda was awarded Star Screen Award Special Jury Award for his role in the movie as ‘performer of the decade. The movie is now considered a cult movie in bollywood.
Coolie No. 1 (1995) Movie Plot: Hoshiyaar Chand (Kader Khan) is having two marriageable daughters namely Malti (Karisma Kapoor) and Shalini (Kanchan) and he wants them to be married with rich guys and that is why he insults Pandit Shadiram Gharjode (Sadasiv Amrapurkar) when he brings marriage proposals for middle class guys. Shadiram vows to marry his daughters with very poor guys and he brings Raju (Govinda), a coolie, before Hosiyar Chand, as a rich person and compels his to marry his elder daughter with him.
