Dil Bechara (2020) is a Bollywood Romantic movie which is eventually becomes the last movie of Actor Sushant Singh Rajput who committed suicide on 14 June 2020 at the age of 34 only. 

Initially the film titled as Kizie and Manny but later the name changed to Dil Bechara. The movie is based on a Novel ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ by John Green.  

The film released on 24 July 2020 on Disney+Hotstar. Earlier scheduled to be released on 29 November, 2019; however, the date has been postponed to 8 May, 2020. Since the release postponed many times especially due to corona epidemics, the makers finally decided to release the movie on OTT platform i.e. Disney+Hotstar.

Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengupta have produced the movie. Mukesh Chhabra has directed Dil Bechara and has made his bollywood directorial debut with this movie. The screenplay is written by Suprotim Sengupta.

Star Cast

Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjana Sanghi (making her Bollywood debut as lead), Saif Ali Khan, Milind Gunaji, Javed Jaffrey, Sahil Vaid, Durgesh Kumar and Suarav Khurana 

The movie would be a romantic drama between two cancer patients namely Manny Augustus (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Kizie (Sanjana Sanghi), Kizie is a young beautiful charming girl but a patient of cancer. She is introvert and timid due to her decease. 

Kizie meets Manny who is a cancer survivor. After meeting Manny she learns to live life and enjoy the every moment of life even if there is only one day left on the earth. She stars exploring her life as Manny teaches her to live the life jam-packed.

Soon both fall in love with each other and depart on an emotional journey full of twists and turns. Whether destiny would favour them or not is rest of the story.

Music and Songs: The legendary music director A.R. Rehman has composed background score and songs for Dil Bechara. Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned lyrics for the songs.
