The story of Ganapath is divided between two universes. One belongs to the affluent people, and the other belongs to poor and helpless people.
Dalapati (Amitabh Bachchan) lives with the poor section of people and has a son (Rehman) and daughter-in-law, Meera (Gauhar Khan). Dalapati predicts that one person, Ganapath, will come to fight for the rights of the poor section of society.
Guddu (Tiger Shroff) lives in a world of riches and is often surrounded by beautiful girls. Guddu works for a don, John (Zaid Bakri), and finds fighters for him. The don conducts boxing matches to make money.
The problem ensues when John witnesses his girl Dimple (Elli AvrRam) with Guddu. He orders to kill both of them. However, Guddu escapes with the help of Kaizaad (Jameel Khan), who also works for John.
Guddu reaches the world of the poor, meets Jassi (Kriti Sanon), and they soon fall in love. The poor people believed Guddu was Ganapath, the savior. However, Guddu has no such intentions.
In the meantime, circumstances compel Guddu to learn to fight under the coaching of Shiva (Rahman). However, Guddu soon returns to John.
What happens next? Will Guddu work for John? Will Ganapath return and become the savior of the poor people? The film Ganapath gives replies to all such queries.
