Sanjay Khanna (Nirmal Pandey) and Anjali Khanna (Ritu Shivpuri) are husband and wife. Both doubt each other for having an extramarital relationship and want to take a divorce. The couple has been separated for a long and believes that their respective partner lives in Europe with their new partner. However, both Anjali and Sanjay are innocent and are not in an extramarital affair.
Sanjay seeks the help of his friend Rajveer Malhotra (Govinda), a detective, to collect evidence of the illicit relationship with her wife so that he can divorce her.
On the other hand, Anjali Khanna (Ritu Shivpuri) seeks the help of her homonymous friend Anjali Khanna (Rani Mukerji) to collect proof against her husband for an easy divorce.
Rajveer (Govinda) meets Anjali (Rani Mukerji) while both are on a Europe tour. They fall in love but soon get separated because Rajveer gets confused with the Homonymous name of Anjali and thinks that she is the wife of his friend Sanjay Khanna.
Later Sanjay (Nimal Pandey) and Anjali (Ritu Shivpuri) come across and learn from their mistake. They also realized that the relationship between Rajveer (Goinvda) and Anjali (Rani Mukerji) is broken due to them.
In the meantime, Rajveer and Anjali return to their respective home in India. Anjali's parents (Tinnu Anand and Smita Jaykar) want her to marry someone else, Anjali accepts the proposal of her parents, but she still loves Rajveer.
Anjali's marriage is fixed where Prakash Chaudhary (Satish Shah) and Mrs. Bhaidas (Tannaz Irani) are the Caterer and Tent Decorator. They are friends of Rajveer and observers that Anjali still loves him. They inform Rajveer and ask Rajveer to reach Anjali's house, and a hilarious journey starts.
