Jayeshbhai Jordaar is an upcoming Bollywood Comedy Drama Bollywood Hindi Film released on 13 May 2022. Divyang Thakkar has written and directed the film and has made his Bollywood directorial debut. Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma have jointly produced the movie.
Ranveer Singh has played a Gujrati man for the first time. Shalini Pandey is the female lead actress in the film.
Jayesh Bhai (Ranveer Singh) lives in a village with his wife Mudra (Shalini Pandey), younger daughter Siddi (Jia), father (Boman Irani ), and mother (Ratna Pathak Shah).
The villagers and parents of Jayesh Bhai are orthodox. They do not want a girl child and abort the same if it comes to their notice (through illegal means, because fetus testing is not legal in India).
Mudra has to abort the last six times due to the fetus test that confirms a girl child, and now she is pregnant again. She has to undergo an illegal sonography one more time that affirms a girl child. However, the parents want a boy child.
Jayesh Bhai is not an orthodox one like his parents, but he is not brave enough to take a stand against his parents. Jayesh finally decides to stand in support of his wife. He ensures the delivery of the child against the wish of their parents, who are now planning for the second marriage of their son.
Thus, a cat and mouse game begins between Jayesh & Mudra and their parents. Will Jayesh keep his promise or he fails is the rest of the story.
