Muqaddar Ka Badshah (meaning King of Destiny) is a Hindi (Bollywood) Action Drama film released on 15 June 1990.
Muqaddar Ka Badshah is like a spiritual sequel of the 1979 Hindi film Muqaddar Ka Sikander featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
Rama Rao Tatineni is the Director, Gul is the Producer, and Iqbal Durrani is the Screenplay and Dialogue Writer of Muqaddar Ka Badshah.
J. Krishnaswamy and Balu are the Film Editors, V. Durga Prasad is the Cinematographer, and Vijay Shah is the Music Director.
Vikral Singh (Amrish Puri), Vijay Singh (Anupam Kher), and Rathod (Navin Nischol) are close friends. Vikral Singh runs a transport business, Vijay is a Public Prosecutor, and Rathod is a DSP in Police Department.
Vikral Singh's (Amrish Puri) family consists of his wife, a daughter Rajni, and a son Manik (Tej Sapru).
Vijay Singh's (Anupam Kher) family consists of his wife, Sharda Singh (Shabana Azmi), a son Ashok (Aashif Sheikh), and a daughter Anu. Sharda is the defense lawyer and fights cases against her husband in court.
Rathod's (Navin Nischol) family consists of his wife, a marriageable sister Bharti Rathod (Vijayshanti), and a young son (Master Antriksh).
Vikral and his son Manik are indulging in illegal and smuggling activities. Inspector Gulshan (Kader Khan) also helps them in their unlawful actions. However, Vijay Singh and Rathod do not know about the illegal activities of Vikral.
Naresh (Vinod Khanna) is a bus driver and union leader of the drivers. He works in the transport company of Vikral Singh. Naresh fights for the worker's rights, and thus Vikral Singh tries to frame him several times. However, Advocate Sharda Devi (Shabana Azmi) saves Naresh from these wrong accusations.
Naresh (Vinod Khanna) and Bharti Rathod (Vijayshanti) love each other. Naresh's sister Geetha (Suparna Anand) loves Ashok (Aasif Sheikh), the son of Vijay Singh (Anupam Kher). However, Vikral (Amrish Puri) and Vijay Singh (Anupam Kher) insult Naresh for her social status and reject the collaboration of Geetha and Ashok.
Naresh (Vinod Khanna) takes the wrong path to earn easy money. He targets Vikral (Amrish Puri) and his son Manik (Tej Sapru) to destroy them financially.
Manik kidnaps the young son (Master Antriksh) of DSP Rathod (Navin Nischol) and blames Naresh (Vinod Khanna) for the same.
Meanwhile, Bharati becomes a Custom Officer and asks Naresh to stop his illegal activities. Vijay Singh's daughter Anu becomes pregnant before marriage by Manik (Tej Sapru), son of Vikral Singh (Amrish Puri).
Vijay Singh and Vikral Singh agree to marry Manik and Anu. The marriage of Rajni (daughter of Vikral) and Ashok (son of Vijay Singh) is fixed.
Someone shoots Rajni dead, and the blame goes on Naresh (Vinod Khanna).
What happens next is the rest of the story of Muqaddar Ka Badshah.
Iqbal Durrani was the Dialogue Writer. The dialogues of this movie became very popular, and therefore audio cassette of Dialogues was released.
