Nagin (1976) is a Bollywood Fantasy Thriller Movie released on 19 January 1976 (India). Rajkumar Kohli produced and directed this multi starrer movie.
It was a huge assembly of famous stars like Sunil Dutt, Jeetendra, Rekha, Reena Roy, Feroz Khan, Sanjay Khan, Mumtaz, Kabir Bedi, Vinod Mehra, Yogita Bali, Anil Dhawan, Prem Nath, Aruna Irnai, Jagdeep, Roopesh Kumar, Heena Kausar, Prema Narayan, Neelam Mehra, Tuntun and Sulochana Latkar.
Nagin received huge commercial success and became Superhit on Box Office by earning Rs. 7 Crores (Worldwide Gross) and became the 3rd Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of the year 1976 after Dus Numberi and Laila Majnu followed by Herapheri, Charas, Fakira, Kaalicharan and Kabhi Kabhi.
Musical duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal created mesmerize music for some unforgettable songs like Tera Mera Mera Tera sung by Kishore Kumar and Suman Kalyanpur, Tere Sang Pyar Main Nahi Todna for which solo version sung by Lata Mangeshkar whereas Mahendra Kapoor accompanied him in the duet.
Songs like Tere Mere Yaarane sung by Mohammed Rafi & Lata Mangeshkar and Tere Ishq Ka Mujh Pe Hua Ye Asar Hai sung by Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi.
Professor Vijay (Sunil Dutt) is in search of shape changing snakes that can become human by changing their shape. One day Vijay finds a predator bird attacking on a helpless man (Jeetendra). Vijay saves him and on asking tells him the actual reason for coming in the forest.
To the surprise of Vijay, the male immediately converts into a snake and returns to his female lover (Reena Roy) nearby.
Vijay comprehend that he gets the shape changing snakes and informs his friends Raj (Feroz Khan), Suraj (Sanjay Khan), Rajesh (Vinod Mehra), Uday (Kabir Bedi) and Kiran (Anil Dhawan) who in turn laugh at him.
To make his friends believe Vijay brings his friends to the same place where they secretly watch a couple dancing and singing (Jeetendra and Reena Roy). They enjoy the song until the male converts into a cobra. Kiran thinks that the snake is going to attack the female and he shots him dead.
The Snake (Cobra) catches pictures of all the friends and the female cobra gets to know about the same from the eyes of male cobra. She decides to take revenge and starts killing them one by one.
