Janalice is a teenage girl who lives near the river in Pará, Brazil. One day, a gang kidnaps her. They are part of an international human trafficking group. They take her far from her home and throw her into a dangerous world.
As Janalice tries to escape, a dark curse called "pssica" seems to follow her. She faces many problems, but she does not give up. At the same time, others begin a bloody search to find her. Along the way, the story shows how corruption, crime, and fear control the region.
But Janalice shows great courage. She wants freedom. She wants justice. The story tells how she fights back in a place where good people must be brave to survive.
